Frequently asked questions

Which biometric attendance machine should I buy?

Choose by how people will check in. Face recognition is touchless and fastest for busy entrances; fingerprint is the most widely used and cost-effective; RFID card suits quick, low-cost door control; GPS models suit field staff and remote sites. Many Cams terminals combine two methods, for example face plus fingerprint plus RFID.

Which devices does Cams Biometrics sell?

Cams Biometrics manufactures API-enabled fingerprint, face recognition, RFID card and GPS attendance and access-control terminals. Every device ships with the Cams Biometric Gateway API enabled, so no SDK installation is needed to connect to an ERP, HRMS or custom application.

Are these devices compatible with my existing software?

Yes. The Cams Biometric Gateway exposes one REST and webhook API that connects to any ERP, HRMS, payroll, school-management or custom application. Its 38 API operations cover real-time attendance push, user enrollment, template sync and device control.

How is the price determined?

Pricing is quote-based and depends on the device model, quantity and destination country. Share your site count and country with sales@camsbiometrics.com and we reply with a quote within one business day. There are no per-transaction fees and no user-count caps.

Do the devices work without internet access?

Yes. Native Push devices use direct internet connectivity for sub-second event delivery. For air-gapped or LAN-only deployments, Protocol Engine Lite runs locally on Windows or Linux and translates device protocols into the same standard JSON the Gateway API consumes.

Do you ship outside India?

Yes. Cams Biometrics supplies attendance and access-control devices to customers worldwide. Typical delivery is 2 to 3 days within India and 3 to 5 days for export. Contact sales with your country for an exact quote and lead time.

What is the warranty and support model?

Standard manufacturer warranty applies to hardware. Software support is included with the annual API renewal: 24x7 monitoring, audit logging on every biometric transaction, and access to the developer forum at forum.camsbiometrics.com. Cams Biometrics is ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Can I trial a device before buying?

Yes. A free sandbox API key is available from the camsbiometrics.com developer portal, so you can test the integration before purchasing hardware. Email sales@camsbiometrics.com to request an evaluation device.
